This notice explains which of your personal data is processed when you visit our website, for what purpose and on what legal basis, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your rights. It is written to meet the duty to inform under article 10 of Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (KVKK); for visitors from the European Economic Area it also carries the information required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

01Data controller

The data controller's legal name and address — pending.

This site belongs to Mabella, which produces marble from its quarry in Drama (Greece) at its plant in Afyonkarahisar (Turkey). SYN Holding and Marsa Medya, whose names, logos and links appear on the site, do not process your data through it; once you follow their links, their own privacy notices apply.

02What we process, and why

You do not need an account or have to give any personal details to browse the site. The data processed falls under three headings.

  • Server logs. The provider that hosts the site writes your IP address, browser and device details and the time of each request to its system logs. The purpose is the site's security and the finding of faults; the legal basis is legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f, GDPR art. 6/1-f). The logs are kept for the provider's own retention period and are not used to identify you.
  • Contact form. When you fill in the form, your name, e-mail address, company (if you give it) and message reach us. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, where needed, to prepare a quotation; the legal basis is contact at your request and steps prior to a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c and 5/2-f, GDPR art. 6/1-b and 6/1-f). The details are not used for anything else and are not added to any marketing list.
  • Analytics — only with your consent. To understand how the site is used we run Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). They process identifiers created with cookies, the pages you visit, your clicks and scrolling, your device and browser details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Clarity also produces session recordings and heatmaps. Neither runs until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner shown when you arrive; the legal basis is your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1, GDPR art. 6/1-a). You can withdraw it at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer; the tools then stop and their cookies are deleted.

How long contact-form enquiries are kept — pending.

The hosting provider (name and country) — to be written once the hosting is decided.

03Who we share it with, and where it goes

We do not sell your data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising. Only the providers whose services the site needs have access, and only as far as the service requires: the provider that hosts the site and, if you consent, Google LLC (USA) and Microsoft Corporation (USA). Transfers to providers whose servers are outside Turkey fall under article 9 of the KVKK; for the analytics tools they rest on your explicit consent. Transfers from the European Economic Area rely on the standard contractual clauses under article 46 of the GDPR.

How Google uses this data: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services. How Microsoft uses it: Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Where the law requires it — a court or a public authority asks — data is disclosed only to the extent of that request.

04Cookies

Which cookies are used, how long they last and how to change your choice are on a separate page: Cookies.

05Your rights

Under article 11 of the KVKK you can ask us:

  • whether your personal data is processed,
  • for information about it, if it is,
  • for the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in line with it,
  • who it has been transferred to, in Turkey or abroad,
  • to correct it where it is incomplete or inaccurate,
  • to delete or destroy it where the reasons for processing no longer apply,
  • to notify those corrections and deletions to the third parties it was transferred to,
  • to object to a result against you produced solely by automated analysis,
  • for compensation where unlawful processing has caused you damage.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the rights in articles 15–22 of the GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection — apply to you as well, and you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country. In Turkey the authority is the Personal Data Protection Board.
